Cookies
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on a device by a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels and SDKs. They can help a website work, remember preferences, measure usage or support marketing.
2. Cookie categories
| Category | Purpose | Consent |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Login, authentication, CSRF protection, security, consent storage, load balancing and core platform functionality. | Always active because the platform cannot operate securely without them. |
| Preferences | Remember user choices such as cookie preferences, interface settings or similar functional preferences. | Used where necessary for requested functionality or saved preferences. |
| Analytics | Measure aggregated usage, errors, performance and product adoption. | Used only where enabled by consent, unless strictly necessary and legally permitted. |
| Marketing | Campaign measurement, conversion tracking or relevant platform communication. | Used only where enabled by consent. |
3. Essential cookies
Essential cookies may include authentication cookies, anti-forgery tokens, session identifiers, security cookies and consent records. They are required to keep accounts secure and to make the platform function correctly.
4. Optional cookies
Analytics and marketing cookies are optional. JobDropper should not load optional analytics or marketing scripts until the user has accepted the relevant category through the consent banner.
5. Managing preferences
Users can accept all optional cookies, reject optional cookies or customize preferences using the cookie banner. Preferences can be reopened from the Cookie settings link in the footer.
6. Browser controls
Most browsers allow users to block, delete or restrict cookies. Blocking essential cookies may prevent login, messaging, upload, dashboard or security features from working correctly.
7. Changes
If cookie usage changes materially, JobDropper should update this policy and may ask users to renew consent.
